Prime On Time: Wireframe and Mockup Design

What is this project?

This was one of my first UI Designs, made for a small videogame project where the player must race through a city doing deliveries. This UI was made to evoke food ordering apps, in order to fit the general delivery theme.

Presentation & Link

Here you can find a short document showing both simple wireframes and mockups for the game. It can be viewed here or downloaded using the button

Main

How was it made?

Here is the process followed to elaborate this Research Report

Specify the Requirements

Meetings with the rest of the game design and programming team to delineate specific needs and technical restrictions that the UI had to exist in.

Benchmarking

Given the delivery theme of the game, do a study to evaluate existing designs to see common design elements and language that could be useful for this project.

Paper Low Fidelity Wireframes

The paper wireframes were made to show a rough approximation of how the final design would work and present it to the game design team for approval.

High Fidelity Wireframes

High Wireframes (shown in the presentation) were developed for the programming team to begin prototyping.

Mockup and UI elements production

Finally the full mockup is made and the UI elements are separated and organized for easy translation and reassembly within the game prototype.

How was it made?

Here is the process followed for this UI. As it was one of the first UIs I ever designed, I would later improve upon my process from both experience and further studies.
